On Wednesday August 23rd STPD Officers handled 33 incidents and investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Trespassing-2400 block of Raleigh Dr

At 0148 hours Officers responded to a residence on Raleigh Dr for the report of a domestic.  Investigation revealed a male entered the home through a window and confronted the resident.  The male was arrested for criminal trespassing and transported to Central Booking.

Theft from vehicle-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 0939 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for a theft report.  The victim advised a generator was stolen out of his vehicle while he was inside shopping.  The investigation is ongoing.

Recklessly endangering-Mt Zion Rd

At 1059 hours an Officer responded to a business on Mt Zion Rd for the report of a domestic.  The victim reported a male nearly struck him with his vehicle in the parking lot after an argument.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft-M&T Bank, 1000 Haines Rd

At 1300 hours an Officer took a report of a theft that occurred at M&T Bank.  The victim reported a subject made an unauthorized withdrawal from a business that has an account at the bank.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft from vehicle-400 block of Marion Rd

At 1524 hours an Officer met with the victim for a theft report.  The victim advised her wallet was stolen from her unlocked vehicle on 8/19/17.  The wallet had already been recovered during another incident on 8/20/17 and the suspect has been identified.  Charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1630 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for a retail theft report.  An employee advised a female had taken $23 in merchandise without paying.  The female was identified and charges are pending further investigation.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1820 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a retail theft where the suspect had fled.  An employee obtained the tag number of the vehicle the suspect left the area in and the investigation is ongoing.

At 2029 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $30 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was cited for summary retail theft and released.
