On Monday May 8th STPD Officers handled 33 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft-Graham Engineering, 1203 Eden Rd

At 0929 hours an Officer responded to Graham Engineering for the report of a theft of a vehicle part.  An employee advised that within the past week someone had cut the catalytic converter off a company owned vehicle that was parked in the lot.

Hit and run-Eastern Blvd at Cinema Dr

At 1020 hours an Officer responded to the above intersection for the report of a hit and run.  A witness advised a small SUV struck a street sign and fled the area, last seen going east on Eastern Blvd.

Harassment-Village East Apartments, 3400 Eastern Blvd

At 1600 hours an Officer received information about a harassment that occurred at the Village East Apts on 5/1/17.  The incident occurred during a family argument and the investigation is ongoing.

Theft-Yorklyn Construction, 1733 Whiteford Rd

At  1541 hours an Officer responded to Yorklyn Construction for the report of a theft of vehicle parts.  An employee advised that over the weekend someone cut the catalytic converters off a company owned vehicle that weas parked in the lot.

Hit and run-Galleria Mall, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1640 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot of the Galleria Mall on 5/6/17.  The victim advised her vehicle was struck while it was parked and a witness provided her with some information on the striking vehicle.  The investigation is ongoing.

Counterfeit currency-Dick’s Sporting Goods, 2925 Concord Rd

At 1645 hours an Officer responded to Dick’s Sporting Goods for the report of counterfeit bills that were used on 5/3/17.  An employee advised that two males passed fake $100 bills and then fled the area when questioned.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1745 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $299 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was released with misdemeanor charges to be filed.

Possession of marijuana/drug paraphernalia-Penn Oaks Park, Edenbridge Rd

At 2147 hours an Officer located an occupied vehicle in Penn Oaks Park.  Upon making contact with the occupants it was discovered that a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were in the vehicle.  The occupants were released with charges to be filed.
