On Saturday April 22nd STPD Officers handled 16 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 1 burglar alarm. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Motor vehicle theft-800 block of Tenth Ave
At 1426 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Tenth Ave for the report of a stolen vehicle. The victim advised his Oldsmobile SUV was stolen between 1100-1430 hours while it was parked in front of the home. The vehicle was entered into NCIC.
Counterfeit currency/Possession of marijuana-McDonalds, 380 Memory Ln
At 1947 hours Officers responded to McDonalds for the report of a subject who was trying to pass a fake $50 bill. The subject was still on scene when police arrived and it was confirmed that the bill was counterfeit. A small amount of marijuana was also recovered from the subject’s vehicle. Charges pending further investigation.
