On Wednesday April 19th STPD Officers handled 21 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

PFA Violation, 400 block of Hunting Park Ln

At 0924 hours the victim came to the station to report a violation of a protection from abuse order.  The victim advised that her husband had contacted her which was in violation of the order.  Charges were completed and the male was later located and transported to Central Booking.

Firearm purchase violation-Dick’s Sporting Goods, 2925 Concord Rd

At 1400 hours an Officer took a report for a firearm purchase violation that occurred in November of 2016.  It was discovered that a subject provided false information when they attempted to purchase a firearm at this location.  The investigation is ongoing.

Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia-Galleria Mall, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1651 hours an Officer was parked at the Galleria Mall in an unmarked vehicle.  Another vehicle pulled into a spot next to the Officer and parked.  The male driver of the vehicle began smoking marijuana out of a large pipe.  The Officer made contact with the male and a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were recovered.  The male was released with charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Giant, 2415 E Market St

At 1709 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a female who fled after committing a retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $273 worth of merchandise without paying and fled when confronted.

Possession of marijuana/Vehicle crash-1500 block of Mt Zion Rd

At 2323 hours Officers responded to the report of an overturned Jeep on Mt Zion Rd.  Investigation revealed a subject struck a curb and his vehicle rolled before coming to rest on it’s roof.  Once the vehicle was turned upright, a small amount of marijuana was observed inside the vehicle through the broken out windows.  The driver sustained apparent minor injuries and charges are pending further investigation.
