On Tuesday April 4th STPD Officers handled 36 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Retail theft-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1051 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for the report of a retail theft that just occurred.  An employee advised a male had taken $79 worth of merchandise and fled when confronted.  The male was last seen running towards Memory Ln.

Theft-Just Cabinets, 1900 Industrial Hwy

At 1315 hours an Officer responded to Just Cabinets for the report of a theft that occurred on 3/25/17.  The manager advised that business proceeds were missing and provided possible suspect information.  The investigation is ongoing.

Disorderly conduct-Central York Middle School, 1950 N Hills Rd

At 1300 hours the School Resource Officer responded to Central York Middle School for a report of a fight between two students.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft-The Brunswick at Longstown, 2830 Carol Rd

At 1500 hours an Officer responded to the Brunswick at Longstown for the report of a theft of medication.  An employee advised a quantity of prescription pills were recently found to have been stolen.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1617 hours an Officer responded to Boscovs for the report of a retail theft that occurred at 1524 hours.  An employee advised a male left the store without paying for $699 worth of merchandise.  The employee also said this male did the same thing on 3/31/17.

Retail theft-K Mart, 1094 Haines Rd

At 1627 hours an Officer responded to K Mart for a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $211 worth of merchandise without paying.  He was found to have one prior conviction for retail theft and had a warrant for his arrest.  The male was taken to Central Booking for the warrant and charges will be filed for retail theft.

Escape-Youth Development Center, 3564 Heindel Rd

At 1708 hours an Officer responded to YDC for the report of a juvenile female resident who had escaped.  Staff members advised the female had fled the building but was apprehended nearby.  Charges were completed.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1851 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for the report of a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $542 worth of merchandise without paying.  She had one prior conviction for retail theft and was released with charges to be filed.
