On Monday March 13th STPD Officers handled 26 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Hit and run-Village East Apartments, 3400 Eastern Blvd

At 0930 hours and Officer met with the victim for the report of a hit and run.  The victim advised her vehicle was struck by a red van while it was parked in the lot and the van left the area without providing any information.

Retail theft-Giant Food Store, 2415 E Market St

At 1114 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a retail theft.  An employee advised that they had video of a female taking $249 worth of merchandise without paying.  The female left the area in a mid 90’s pewter colored Chevrolet Suburban.

Access device fraud-4100 block of Wilshire Dr

At 1300 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of unauthorized use of her credit card.  The victim advised an unknown person used her card number to make a purchase in Harrisburg in February.

Criminal mischief-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1840 hours an Officer took a report for criminal mischief to a vehicle that occurred in the parking lot of Lowes.  The victim advised that a male kicked his bumper, causing a dent.

Counterfeit currency-Texas Roadhouse, 1510 Mt Zion Rd

At 2026 hours an Officer responded to the Texas Roadhouse for the report of a subject using counterfeit money to pay his bill.  An employee advised the male left the area after paying and the money he used was found to be fake.  The suspect was identified and charges are pending further investigation.
