On Sunday March 12th STPD Officers handled 17 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Public drunkenness-400 block of Maywood Rd
At 0023 hours Officers responded to a residence on Maywood Rd for the report of an intoxicated male who was banging on the front door. The caller advised they did not know the male and Officers began searching the area. The male was found sleeping in the caller’s unlocked vehicle. He was taken to Central Booking and cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
DUI/Stolen vehicle/Assault
At 1024 hours Officers responded to the report of an erratic driver on Rt 30. Numerous calls were received about the vehicle’s driving and the vehicle was stopped by an Army National Guard transport vehicle that was in the area. The driver was found to be under the influence of controlled substances and she was transported to the hospital for treatment. The vehicle the female was driving had been reported stolen in Elizabethtown. The female advised police that she had been assaulted at a local motel prior to this incident and the investigation is ongoing.
