On Friday January 27th STPD Officers handled 27 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Escape-Youth Development Center, 3564 Heindel Rd

At 1307 hours an Officer responded to YDC for the report of a juvenile who had escaped.  A staff member advised a juvenile had run away while they were on a trip in Hanover.  The juvenile was located by Penn Township Police and returned to staff custody.  Charges are pending further investigation.

Hit and run-US Post Office, 3435 Concord Rd

At 1330 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot of the US Post Office.  The victim advised her vehicle was struck while it was parked in the lot and a witness obtained the tag number of the striking vehicle.  The driver of the striking vehicle was located and his information was obtained.  The victim declined prosecution.

Bad checks-Fulton Bank, 185 Memory Ln

At 1415 hours an Officer responded to the Fulton Bank for the report of several bad checks that were passed by a subject in November of 2016.  Suspect information was provided and the investigation is ongoing.

Burglary-3500 block of Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1634 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Pleasant Valley Rd for the report of a burglary.  The victim advised someone had entered his home and taken a TV.  The victim provided the name of a suspect and the investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1648 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for the report of a retail theft where two suspects had fled.  An employee advised the two suspects took $144 worth of merchandise without paying and fled in a vehicle.  The employee got the tag number of the vehicle and the two suspects were identified.  Charges to be filed.

Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute-Mt Rose Ave at Greensprings Dr

At 1905 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Mt Rose Ave.  A strong odor of marijuana was detected in the vehicle.   A search of the vehicle yielded a large bag of marijuana and numerous items indicating the suspect was in the business of selling marijuana.  The suspect was transported to Central Booking and charged with a felony.

Hit and run-Embers Restaurant-100 Memory Ln

At 1939 hours an Officer responded to Embers for the report of a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot.  The victim advised someone had struck her vehicle while it was parked in the lot.  A witness obtained the tag number of the striking vehicle and a description of the driver.  The investigation is ongoing.

Harassment-800 block of Eleventh Ave

At 2051 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Eleventh Ave for the report of harassment.  The victims advised that over the past few weeks two subjects have been showing up at the residence trying to get the victims to come outside and fight.  The victims provided a description of the suspects and their vehicle but said they do not know who they are.
