On Tuesday January 10th STPD Officers handled 25 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 4 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Stolen vehicle-Suburban Park Apartments, Carnegie Rd
At 0745 hours an Officer responded to the Suburban Park Apartments for the report of a stolen vehicle. The victim advised his Ford Taurus was stolen from the parking lot overnight. The vehicle was entered into NCIC.
Hit and run-300 block of Folkstone Way
At 0940 hours an Officer took a report of a hit and run that occurred on Folkstone Way on 1/7/17. The victim advised her vehicle was struck while it was parked along the street.
Found marijuana-Harley Davidson, 1425 Eden Rd
At 0927 hours an Officer responded to Harley Davidson for the report of marijuana being found in a bathroom. An employee advised a bag of marijuana was found and they did not know who it belonged to.
Theft-A&R Rental, 1658 Whiteford Rd
At 1035 hours an Officer responded to A&R Rental for the report of a theft. An employee advised two pieces of equipment were taken from gated portion of the parking lot over the past few days. The total loss is $3000.
Harassment-Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Rd
At 1553 hours an Officer met with the victim for a report of harassment that occurred at Central High School on 1/7/17 during a wrestling tournament. Information was obtained on the involved parties and the investigation is ongoing.
Retail theft-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Rd
At 1614 hours an Officer responded to Boscovs for a retail theft that had just occurred. An employee advised two males had taken a total of $94 worth of merchandise and were in the parking lot. An Officer made contact with the males and after they were identified they were cited for retail theft and released.
Escape-Youth Development Center, 3564 Heindel Rd
At 1910 hours an Officer took a report for a juvenile who escaped from custody. The juvenile was placed at the facility by Juvenile Probation and absconded while at school today. Charges were filed.
