On Tuesday December 6th STPD Officers handled 20 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Fireworks violation-1900 block of Mt Zion Rd

At 0154 hours an Officer was observing traffic on Mt Zion Rd.  The driver of a vehicle shot off an illegal firework as he passed the Officer.  A traffic stop was conducted and charges are pending.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1230 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $380 worth of merchandise without paying.  The female was transported to Central Booking and charged because she was not a PA resident.

Theft by deception-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1625 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for a theft that occurred on 11/23/16.  An employee advised a male had conducted a fraudulent return and received gift card in the amount of $105.  The male was identified because he provided his ID to process the return.  Charges to be filed.

Theft of services-Barracuda’s, 2256 Industrial Hwy

At 1915 hours an Officer met with an employee of Barracuda’s for the report of a theft of services.  The employee advised a male consumed $22 worth of food and drinks at the restaurant on this date and left without paying his bill.  Some information concerning the male’s identity was provided and the investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 2030 hours an Officer met with an employee of Walmart for a report of a retail theft that occurred on 12/5/16.  The employee advised a male took over $200 worth of merchandise and fled when confronted.  Photos of the male will be disseminated for identification.
