On Monday December 5th STPD Officers handled 14 incidents and investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Criminal mischief-York Marketplace, 2500 block E Market St
At 0850 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of the York Marketplace for the report of criminal mischief to a trailer. The victim advised an unknown person had damaged his trailer while it was parked in the past 24 hours.
Theft by deception-Lowes, 2449 E Market St
At 1324 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for a report of a theft. An employee advised a female had entered the store earlier on this date and conducted a fraudulent return. The female received a gift card in the amount of $119 and left. She was later identified and charges are pending further investigation.
Theft by deception-Lowes, 2449 E Market St
At 1719 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for a female in custody for theft. An employee advised the female had conducted a fraudulent return and received a gift card in the amount of $200. The female was taken to Central Booking for several active warrants and charges will be filed.
Retail theft-Giant, 2415 E Market St
At 1925 hours an Officer responded to Giant for a male in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the male had taken $14 worth of merchandise without paying. The male was cited for summary retail theft and released.

At 2001 hours an Officer met with an employee at Giant for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 12/2/16. The employee advised a female had taken $233 worth of merchandise without paying. Photos of the female were disseminated and she was identified. An arrest warrant will be obtained.
Retail theft-Giant, 2415 E Market St
At 2001 hours an Officer met with an employee at Giant for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 12/4/16. The employee advised a male had taken $132 worth of merchandise without paying. The male was seen getting into a vehicle and the tag number was obtained. The male was identified and charges will be filed.
