On Wednesday November 16th STPD Officers handled 18 incidents, investigated 6 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 5 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft-Dunkin Donuts, 2270 E Market St

At 1321 hours an Officer responded to Dunkin Donuts for the report of a theft.  The manager advised over $1600 in business proceeds were missing.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft/Counterfeiting-Chateau Motel, 3951 E Market St

At 1347 hours Officers responded to the Chateau Motel for the report of a theft.  Employees advised a guest had taken some property from the business when they checked out.  The guest had also left behind some evidence of the manufacturing of counterfeit currency.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft/Fleeing and eluding-Kohl’s, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1405 hours an Officer responded to Kohl’s for the report of a male who was in the process of committing a retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $254 worth of merchandise.  Upon the arrival of police, the male took off running and got into a green Mercedes SUV.  An Officer attempted to stop the Mercedes but it fled and was last seen traveling on Industrial Hwy.

Hit and run-N Hills Rd at Wallace St

At 1716 hours an Officer responded to N Hills Rd for a hit and run.  The victims advised they were struck by a brown Honda Accord.  The Honda pulled into a nearby parking lot and the driver fled on foot.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft-North Hills Apartments, 1800 N Hills Rd

At 1828 hours an Officer responded to the North Hills Apartments for the report of a theft.  The victim advised two packages delivered by UPS were stolen off their front porch.

Hit and run-Arooga’s, 1211 Haines Rd

At 2003 hours an Officer responded to Arooga’s for the report of a hit and run that occurred in the parking lot.  Two victims advised their vehicles were struck between 1800-1930 hours.
