On Sunday October 30th STPD Officers handled 35 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Retail theft-Giant, 2415 E Market St

At 0113 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a retail theft that just occurred.  An employee advised a female attempted to leave the store with $676 worth of merchandise.  She fled when confronted by the employee and was last seen getting into a silver GMC SUV.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1209 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $36 worth of merchandise.  She was cited for summary retail theft and taken to Central Booking for several active warrants.

Attempted theft from auto-100 block of N Manheim St

At 1240 hours an Officer responded to a residence on N Manheim St for the report of an attempted theft.  The victim advised he found a cell phone in his yard and reviewed his home security cameras and found a subject had attempted to enter his vehicle overnight.  The subject was located and admitted to getting lost while walking home last night when he was intoxicated.  The victim declined prosecution.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1442 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two females in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised they had taken $141 worth of merchandise.  One female was cited for summary retail theft.  The other female will be charged with a misdemeanor because this is her second offense.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1838 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised she had taken $80 worth of merchandise.  She was cited for summary retail theft and released.
