On Friday October 28th STPD Officers handled 30 incidents and investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-2300 block of E Market St

At 0223 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on E Market St.  The driver of the vehicle was intoxicated and arrested for DUI.  A search warrant was obtained for the driver’s blood and he was transported to the hospital.  The driver was then taken to Central Booking and charged with his second offense of DUI.

Possession of heroin/Narcan use-Sheetz, 405 Memory Ln

At 0331 hours Officers responded to Sheetz for the report of a male who was unresponsive in the bathroom after an overdose.  An Officer used Narcan and first aid was administered until the male was transported to the hospital by EMS.  Heroin and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the male.  Due to the circumstances, the male is immune from prosecution and will not be charged.

Criminal mischief-2600 block of Spangler Circle

At 0958 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Spangler Circle for the report of damage to a window.  The victim advised a window on the front of the home was damaged within the past week.

Burglary-Tokyo Nich/Bamboo Express/Taco Bell, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1120 hours an Officer met with employees of Tokyo Nich, Bamboo Express, and Taco Bell at the Galleria Mall for the report of a burglary.  The employees advised someone had entered the restaurants overnight and took cash.

Retail theft-Kohl’s, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1147 hours an Officer responded to Kohl’s for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $380 worth of merchandise without paying.  She initially complied with the employee but then fled out of the store on foot.  The employee caught up to the female when she stopped to urinate in the parking lot and she again became compliant.  The female was found to have 11 prior convictions for retail theft and was transported to the hospital after complaining of a medical problem.  An arrest warrant will be obtained.

Hit and run-Rt 30 at N Hills Rd

At 1922 hours an Officer met with the caller for the report of a hit and run.  He advised that he was involved in an accident on Rt 30 and the other driver fled the scene westbound.

DUI crash-Rt 30 at Mt Zion Rd

At 2355 hours an Officer responded to Rt 30 near Mt Zion Rd for the report of a vehicle that struck the guard rail.  The investigation revealed the driver was intoxicated and she was arrested for DUI.  She was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges to be filed.
