On Tuesday September 20th STPD Officers handled 21 incidents, investigated 5 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft-Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Rd

At 0730 hours the School Resource Officer took the report of a theft that occurred on 9/15/16.  A student advised that her school owned iPad was taken from a classroom.

Retail theft-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1030 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 9/14/16.  An employee advised a male was seen on video taking $299 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male was identified and charges will be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1239 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $71 worth of merchandise without paying.  The female was cited for summary retail theft and released.

Hit and run-3200 block of E Market St

At 1524 hours an Officer responded to the 3200 block of E Market St for the report of a hit and run that just occurred.  The victim advised she was traveling westbound when a male in a small dark sedan pulled out from a parking lot and struck her vehicle.  The striking vehicle did not stop and should have damage on the driver’s side front bumper.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1620 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a male who fled on foot after committing a retail theft.  The male was located nearby and an employee advised he had taken $3 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male was cited for summary retail theft and taken to Central Booking due to having no fixed address.
