On Monday September 12th STPD Officers handled 29 incidents and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Narcotics possession-Youth Development Center, 3564 Heindel Rd

At 0036 hours an Officer responded to YDC for the report of a juvenile who was found to have prescription pills in his possession.  The pills were found during a search that occurred during the intake process.  Charges pending further investigation.

Burglary-Futer Brothers Jewelry, 2820 Whiteford Rd

At 0246 hours Officers responded to Futer Brothers Jewelry for a burglar alarm.  Upon arrival, Officer discovered forced entry to the business.  Investigation revealed a subject had broken a display case and removed an undisclosed amount of jewelry.  The investigation is ongoing.

Armed Robbery-Rutter’s, 725 Arsenal Rd

At 0146 hours Officers responded to Rutter’s for the report of a robbery.  An employee advised a male entered the business with a knife and demanded money from the cash register.  The male fled the area on foot and the investigation is ongoing.

Disorderly conduct, Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Rd

At 0734 hours the School Resource Officer handled a fight between two students that occurred inside the school.  The two females involved will be charged with disorderly conduct.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1522 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female left the store without paying for $49 worth of merchandise.  She was found to have two prior retail theft convictions, making this offense a felony.  She was transported to Central Booking and charges were completed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1801 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female left the store without paying for $385 worth of merchandise.  She was found to have no prior offenses and was released with charges to be filed.
