On Tuesday August 16th STPD Officers handled 18 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 4 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd
At 1033 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for the report of a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised she had taken $64 worth of merchandise without paying. The female was cited for summary retail theft and released.
Hit and run-E Market St at I-83
At 1300 hours the victim responded to the station to report a hit and run that occurred on E Market St at I-83. The victim advised a Dodge truck had struck her vehicle which caused her to hit a curb.
Access device fraud-100 block of Sylvan Dr
At 1830 hours the victim came to the station to report unauthorized activity on her Santander Bank card. The victim advised that on 8/12/16 the bank notified her that there were $1,908 worth of purchases made with her card in Florida. The investigation is ongoing.
