On Friday July 29th STPD Officers handled 30 incidents, investigated 5 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Hit and run-Books A Million, 3000 Whiteford Rd

At 1550 hours the victim responded to the station to report a hit and run that was discovered after she left the parking lot of  BAM.  The victim did not have any leads to provide about the striking vehicle.

Theft by deception-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1243 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for the report of a theft by deception that occurred on 7/28/16.  An employee advised that he was reviewing surveillance video and found that two females worked together to commit a fraudulent return.  The females received a gift card for $432 for the return and left the store.  The females were identified with charges pending further investigation.

Criminal mischief-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1514 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Walmart for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle.  The victim advised that while she was in the store an unknown person had damaged her vehicle.  Investigation to continue.

Harassment-Crystal Ln

At 1946 hours Officers responded to an address on Crystal Ln for a report of a physical domestic.  The victim advised her son had grabbed her and pushed her.  The son was taken to Central Booking for warrants and was issued a citation for harassment.
