Over the past week our Officers have come across hundreds of budding Pokémon Trainers exploring the Township in pursuit of Pokémon.  We enjoy seeing so many people outside using our parks and having fun.  We have just a few reminders for those who will be out trying to “catch ’em all”.
  • Playing Pokémon Go while driving is not only dangerous, it is a violation of PA’s Texting while Driving Law.
  • Make sure to be aware of your surroundings and not too focused on your device.
  • There have been reported incidents of people using Pokémon Go to lure people into dangerous situations.
  • Most of the Township Parks are very popular in the game and attract a lot of players.  Please remember that the Parks are not open 24 hours.  Springettsbury Park on Mt Zion Rd is open from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm and all other Parks are open from dawn until dusk.
  • Springettsbury Township has a curfew ordinance in effect from 12:00 midnight until 6:00 am for those under 18 years of age.  Generally this applies to those under 18 that are not accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please be safe and have fun!
