Daily Report-Thursday June 30th, 2016

On Wednesday June 29th, 2016 STPD Officers responded to 27 incidents, investigated 3 crashes and responded to 2 alarms.  In addition, the following crimes were investigated.

Counterfeiting-McDonald’s, 380 Memory Lane

On 06/29/16 at 0658 hours Police responded to McDonalds located at 380 Memory Lane York, Pa for a counterfeit $10.00 dollar bill that was passed. The bill was taken into custody by Police for processing and forwarded to the United States Secret Service.

Retail Theft-Wal-Mart, 2801 East Market Street

On 06/29/16 at 0833 hours Police responded to WalMart located at 2801 E. Market St. York, Pa for a retail theft. Upon arrival information was obtained. Stolen and not recovered was one Vizio TV and one Vizio sound bar for a total value of $546.00. The actor left in a black in color Toyota 4Runner.

Theft by Deception-Target, 2610 Pleasant Valley Road

On 06/29/16 at 1004 hours Police responded to Target located at 2610 Pleasant Valley rd. York, Pa for a theft by deception. Upon arrival information was obtained. The female in custody had stolen and then returned items offered for sale by Target. She then received gift cards for the items. The female was also found to have several bench warrants. She was arrested for the above actions with charges to be field. She was taken to Central Booking for the warrants.

Identity Theft

On station, an STPD detective met with a complainant, who advised that they were notified by their fraud protection company that their information was used to open an account at a Sprint store. The account was flagged and shut down by Sprint’s fraud department.

Retail Theft-Justice, 2819 Concord Road

Police responded to Justice Just for Girls for a retail theft. On scene the assistant manager advised that eight black females entered the store selected merchandise, then walked out without paying.  Estimated the value of the theft at $300.00.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-4200 block of Woodlyn Terrace

On the above date and time an STPD Officer observed a vehicle commit several vehicle code violations. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and suspected drug paraphernalia was located inside the vehicle.
