On Tuesday June 28th STPD Officers handled 44 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 4 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Curfew violation-2600 block E Market St
At 0050 hours two juveniles were observed walking around on E Market St. The juveniles were identified, cited for curfew violations, and released to a guardian.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1220 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a theft that occurred on 6/25/16. On that date the suspect took $322 worth of merchandise without paying and fled the store. The male had returned to Walmart on 6/27/16 and was identified by loss prevention. Charges to be filed.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1412 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of two females in custody for retail theft. The females were found to have taken $40 worth of merchandise without paying. They were released with charges to be filed.
