Assault at Rocky Ridge Park

On Tuesday May 10th,  2016 Springettsbury Township Police were dispatched to an address near Rocky Ridge Park for the report of an assault.  Upon arrival an 18 year old female victim reported that while jogging through the park on one of the marked trails near the power line, she was attacked by an unknown male subject just before 8pm. The victim was able to fight off the male, sustaining minor injuries while doing so, and run away from him.   The victim described the male as a white male in his 40’s with grayish blonde hair wearing a green zip up hooded sweatshirt with a gray t-shirt underneath.   He was to be wearing cargo style shorts and white and blue shoes.  Springettsbury Township Police are asking anyone that might have been in the park last evening and saw someone matching that description to contact them at 717-757-3525.
