June 5, 2023
On June 5, 2023, at 0709 hours, the Springettsbury Township Police Department was dispatched to the 3200 block of E Market St, Yorkshire Apartments, for the report of an armed robbery. A suspect vehicle fled the scene and was later stopped on I-83 SB near MM9 by PSP-York. One male suspect fled the vehicle stop and another female suspect was detained on scene. PSP Troopers, York County Sheriff’s K-9 Deputies, and Springettsbury Township Officers are actively searching the area to locate the male suspect who fled. The suspect who fled is a black male, with a scar above his left eye, and neck, arm and possibly hand tattoos. His clothing description is unknown at this time. The male suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Please contact 911 if a male subject matching the above description is located.
UPDATE: The male suspect is in custody. Further updates to follow as new information is available.
