On January 1st, 2021 Officers were called to a residence on Mount Zion Road as it was reported that several residents there were being attacked by a dog. Upon arrival Officers learned that the dog was still actively attacking two people in the residence. Officer Farnsler entered the residence and observed the dog aggressively biting a male subject. Officer Farnsler deployed his conducted energy weapon (Taser) at the dog, stopping the attack. Officer Farnsler was able to then usher both the male and a female to safety while the dog was still being aggressive towards them. Due to his quick and decisive actions, Officer Farnsler was awarded the Chief’s Commendation from Chief Todd King.
