On Tuesday September 25th STPD Officers handled 28 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 6 alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Retail theft-Walmart, E Market St
At 1140 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of two males that fled after committing a retail theft. An employee advised the males took $148 worth of merchandise and took off running when confronted.
Theft by deception-Lowes, E Market St
At 1600 hours an Officer met with an employee for the report of a theft by deception that occurred on 9/22. They advised that a male had conducted a fraudulent return in the amount of $572. He had provided his ID card for the return and charges will be filed.
Theft-Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Home, Pleasant Acres Rd
At 1548 hours an Officer responded to Pleasant Acres and met with the victim who reported that within the past week someone had taken cash from his room.
Theft-Hollister, Whiteford Rd
At 1957 hours an Officer responded to Hollister for the report of an employee theft. A manager advised an internal investigation revealed an employee had taken cash on several occasions. The employee was released with charges to be filed.
