On Saturday April 14th STPD Officers handled 31 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
DUI crash/Aggravated assault while DUI/Possession of drug paraphernalia-E Market St at Mills St
At 0154 hours Officers responded to E Market St at Mills St for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. The operator of the striking vehicle was found to be under the influence and in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The drivers of both vehicles sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment. Charges pending further investigation.
Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle-1000 block of Eastern Blvd
At 1059 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Eastern Blvd for an unauthorized use report. The victim advised she had loaned her vehicle to someone and now they were refusing to return it. The investigation is ongoing.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1547 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two subjects in custody for retail theft. An employee advised they had taken $150 worth of merchandise without paying. They were released with charges to be filed.
DUI-Rt 30 at Eden Rd
At 2143 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop and found the driver was under the influence. He was arrested for DUI and transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing. Charges pending blood test results.
