On Sunday July 16th STPD Officers handled 31 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI/Possession of marijuana-Eastern Blvd at Northern Way

At 0026 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Eastern Blvd.  The male driving the vehicle was under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  A small amount of marijuana was recovered from the vehicle.  The male was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges were completed due to this being the male’s 2nd DUI offense.

Theft from vehicle-1600 block of San Gabriel Dr

At 0652 hours an Officer responded to a residence on San Gabriel Dr for the report of a theft from a vehicle.  The victim advised that overnight someone entered his unlocked vehicle and removed a laptop computer.

Theft from vehicle-1700 block of Pelham Dr

At 0715 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Pelham Dr for the report of a theft from a vehicle.  The victim advised that overnight someone entered his unlocked vehicle and removed some coins.

Retail theft-Giant, 2415 E Market St

At 1305 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 7/15/17.  An employee provided video of two males taking $83 worth of merchandise without paying.

Harassment-Rocky Ridge Park, Deininger Rd

At 1307 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a harassment that occurred at Rocky Ridge Park.  The victim advised she was approached by a male who made physical contact with her and made obscene comments.  She was able to get the tag number of the male’s vehicle and he was identified.  The investigation is ongoing.

Public drunkenness-Autumn House, 2618 E Market St

At 1413 hours Officers responded to the parking lot of Autumn House for the report of a female who had urinated in the parking lot.  The female was located and found to be intoxicated.  She was cited for public drunkenness and taken to Central Booking.

Strangulation-Ridgewood Rd

At 2044 hours Officers responded to a residence on Ridgewood Rd for the report of a physical domestic.  The investigation revealed a male and female got into an argument and the female advised she was grabbed around the neck and had trouble breathing.  The male was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking where he was charged with strangulation and harassment.
