Daily Report for May 24th, 2017

On Wednesday May 24th STPD Officers handled 21 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, made 15 traffic stops, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crime was reported:

Vehicle theft-3900 block of Eastgate Dr

At 1838 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Eastgate Dr for the report of a stolen vehicle.  The victim advised she returned home from work and found her Chevrolet SUV was missing from the parking lot.  The victim advised the keys were left inside the vehicle and it may have been left unlocked.  A short time later the vehicle was recovered in York City after it was involved in a hit and run.  The investigation is ongoing.
