On Wednesday March 15th STPD Officers handled 16 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

False ID to Law Enforcement/Curfew violation-N Hills Rd at E Market St

At 0124 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on E Market St.  The driver provided false information about his identity and was later found to be a juvenile.  He was released to a parent and charges will be filed.

Retail theft-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1609 hours an Officer responded to Boscovs for the report of a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken under $50 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male was cited for summary retail theft and taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

Theft-Sears, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1619 hours an Officer responded to Sears for the report of an employee theft.  A manager advised an employee had taken cash from the business on several occasions over the past few months.  Charges pending further investigation.

Retail theft-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1835 hours an Officer responded to Boscovs for the report of a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $78 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male was released with misdemeanor charges to be filed due to this being his second retail theft offense.

Theft-Burlington Coat Factory, 2801 E Market St

At 1845 hours an Officer took the report of a theft of a wallet from Burlington Coat Factory.  The victim advised her wallet was stolen while she was shopping.  The wallet contained cash, ID and some credit cards.  The suspect used the credit cards after stealing the wallet and the investigation is ongoing.
