On Monday January 16th STPD Officers handled 15 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Theft from vehicle-Yorktowne Dental, 2851 Eastern Blvd
At 1007 hours an Officer responded to Yorktowne Dental for the report of a theft from two vehicles that occurred on 1/13/17. The victims advised their vehicles were entered and items were taken at around 1330 hours on that date. Video surveillance photos will be obtained and disseminated for identification.
Simple assault-3600 block of E Market St
At 1539 hours Officers responded to a residence in the 3600 block of E Market St for a report of a domestic related assault. The investigation revealed a male assaulted a female during an argument. The male was transported to Central Booking and charged with Simple assault and harassment.
Theft-100 block of Sylvan Dr
At 1555 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Sylvan Dr for the theft of a snowblower. The victim advised the snowblower had been taken within the past day by someone who cut the chain that had been used to lock it up.
