On Tuesday October 18th STPD Officers handled 28 incidents and investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Auto theft-100 block of S Royal St

At 0151 hours Officers responded to a residence on S Royal St for the report of a stolen vehicle that just occurred.  The victim advised his Chevrolet Cavalier had been parked on the street in front of his home with the window down and the keys in the ignition.  The vehicle was entered into NCIC.

Access device fraud-Wonder Years Daycare, 2850 Carol Rd

At 1130 hours an Officer responded to Wonder Years Daycare for the report of unauthorized purchases made with the business’ credit card.  The investigation is ongoing.

Indecent exposure-Sally’s Beauty Supply, 2801 E Market St

At 1148 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Sally’s Beauty Supply for the report of a subject masturbating in his vehicle.  The victim advised she walked by the vehicle and observed the subject was fully exposed.  The victim confronted the subject and was able to take a photo of his vehicle and his activity prior to him fleeing  the scene.  A tag number was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

Theft-Manor Care, 2400 Kingston Ct

At 1321 hours an Officer responded to Manor Care for the report of a theft.  An employee advised a piece of jewelry was missing and she provided possible suspect information.  The investigation is ongoing.

Criminal mischief-100 block of N Oxford St

At 1430 hours an Officer responded to a residence on N Oxford St for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle.  The victim advised her vehicle was parked in her driveway and damaged overnight.

Theft-Boscov’s, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1425 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a theft of a cell phone.  The victim advised that on 10/16/16 she left her phone in a dressing room at Boscov’s and a few minutes later when she returned to the dressing room the phone was gone.

Theft by deception-Boscov’s, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1851 hours an Officer responded to Boscov’s for the report of a theft by deception.  An employee advised a male had conducted a fraudulent return and obtained a gift card.  The male was located outside the store and identified.  Charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1857 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of two females that fled after committing a retail theft.  An employee advised the females had taken a combined total of $45 worth of merchandise and took off when confronted.  The females were last seen fleeing in a silver Toyota Corolla.  The tag number was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.
