On Tuesday September 6th STPD Officers handled 15 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Burglary-First block of Mt Zion Rd

At 0231 hours Officers responded to a residence on Mt Zion Rd for the report of a burglary.  The victims advised they arrived home and found a known subject, who is a juvenile, in the process of burglarizing their home.  The subject fled on foot and was not located.  Charges were filed.

Access device fraud-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 0915 hours the victim contacted police to report unauthorized use of his bank card that occurred at Walmart on 8/27/16.  The total loss was $113 and the investigation is ongoing.

Theft by deception-Bed Bath and Beyond, 2845 Concord Rd

At 1514 hours an Officer responded to Bed Bath and Beyond for the report of a female who had attempted to make a purchase with a counterfeit $100 bill.  An employee recognized the bill was fake and the female fled the scene, taking the bill with her.

Theft of services-Apple Nissan, 1510 Whiteford Rd

At 1633 hours an Officer responded to Apple Nissan for the report of a theft of services.  The business advised that work was done on a vehicle and the owner of the vehicle had picked it up but failed to pay for the repairs.  The investigation is ongoing.

Institutional vandalism-1800 N Hills Rd

At 1830 hours an Officer responded to property behind the North Hills Apartments for the report of vandalism to a piece of construction equipment owned by Springettsbury Township.  Unknown subjects had damaged the front end loader between 1700-1730 hours on this date.
