On Sunday September 4th STPD Officers responded to 1 burglar alarm and handled 21 incidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-Eastern Blvd at Northern Way

At 0117 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Eastern Blvd.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated and she was arrested for DUI.  She was transported to Central Booking for processing for her first DUI offense.

Public drunkenness/Possession of cocaine-2500 block of Eastern Blvd

At 0120 hours while an Officer was conducting field sobriety tests during the above listed traffic stop, he was approached by a male who stumbled across Eastern Blvd.  The male told the Officer that he was drunk and wanted to be arrested.  The Officer told the male to sit down and wait a few minutes until he was available but the male persisted.  At the male’s request, the Officer took him into custody for public drunkenness.  The male was searched incident to arrest and a bag of cocaine was located in his wallet.  The male could not be identified and was transported to Central Booking where he was charged.

Hit and run-Sylvan Dr at Concord Rd

At 0249 hours an Officer responded to the intersection of Sylvan Dr and Concord Rd for the report of a vehicle that hit a street sign and fled the area.  A witness advised the vehicle was a dark sedan, possibly a BMW, and it had also damaged his lawn.  The vehicle should have damage to the front driver’s side bumper and fender.

Retail theft/Theft by deception-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1101 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a female in custody for theft.  An employee advised the female had conducted a fraudulent return and also taken merchandise from the store without paying.  The female was found to have several active warrants and she was transported to Central Booking.  Theft charges to be filed.
