Between Thursday May 26th and Saturday May 28th 2016, STPD Officers handled 79 incidents, investigated 7 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 14 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Thursday May 26th, 2016:

False ID/Warrant service-Rt 30 at Memory Ln

At 0236 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Rt 30.  The driver provided false information concerning her identity and she was found to have an active warrant for her arrest.  The female was taken to Central Booking for the warrant and will be charged with False ID to Law Enforcement.

Possession with intent to distribute-Rt 30 at N Hills Rd

At 0324 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Rt 30 near N Hills Rd.  The driver was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana and other narcotics items with the intent to distribute them.  A passenger in the same vehicle was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.  Investigation is ongoing.

Identity Theft-Lyndhurst Rd

At 0900 hours the victim reported an unknown person had used their information to open an account in California.  Investigation is ongoing.

Fraud-Fine Wine and Good Spirits, 2547 E Market St

At 1316 hours an Officer responded to the Fine Wine and Good Spirits for the report of a male who attempted to purchase $158 worth of liquor with a fake gift card.  When an employee questioned the male about the card, he fled and was last seen getting into a dark blue sedan.

Theft of services-Longhorn Steakhouse-2901 Concord Rd

At 1506 hours Officers responded to the Longhorn Steakhouse for the report of an adult male who consumed $49 worth of food and drinks and could not pay the bill.  The male was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking to be charged due to having no fixed address.

Access device fraud-4000 block of Webster Dr

At 2158 hours an Officer responded to an address on Webster Dr for the report of access device fraud where the suspect was a known juvenile.  The juvenile was taken into custody and charges were filed through Juvenile Probation.

Friday May 27th, 2016:

Possession of marijuana/Warrant service-Eastern Blvd at Northern Way

At 0105 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Eastern Blvd.  The two occupants of the vehicle were found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.  Both subjects also had active warrants for their arrest.  They were taken to Central Booking for the warrants and charges will be filed for the drug violations.

Retail theft-Al’s Automotive, 1301 N Sherman St

At 1042 hours an Officer responded to Al’s Automotive for the report of a male getting $34 worth of gas and leaving without paying.  The subject’s tag number was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

Theft of services-Ulta, 2835 Concord Rd

At 1224 hours an Officer responded to Ulta for the report of a theft of services that occurred on 5/17/16.  Employees advised a female received a $13 hair cut and failed to pay before leaving the store.  Information was provided for follow up investigation.

Theft of services-Ulta, 2835 Concord Rd

At 1350 hours an Officer responded to Ulta for the report of a theft of services that occurred on 5/21/16.  Employees advised a female received a cosmetic service valued at $50 and failed to pay before leaving.  Information was provided for follow up investigation.

Burglary-2000 block of Ridgewood Rd

At 1419 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Ridgewood Rd for the report of a burglary.  The victim advised that an unknown person entered his garage between 5/17/16 and 5/26/16 and removed $4900 worth of welding equipment.  The investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-Syncreon, 609 Memory Ln

At 1500 hours the victim reported damage to his vehicle that was parked in the lot of Syncreon while he was inside working.  There are no suspects at this time.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1710 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of an adult female in custody for retail theft.  Employees advised the female left the store without paying for $60 worth of merchandise.  The female was cited for retail theft and released.

Saturday May 28th, 2016:

Theft-Turkey Hill, 3690 E Market St

At 1639 hours an Officer responded to Turkey Hill for the report of a theft of two bicycles.  Investigation led to the recovery of the bicycles, which had a combined value of $500.  Suspects were identified but the victim declined prosecution.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1919 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a male who fled on foot after committing a $5 retail theft.  The male was last seen getting into a maroon GMC Yukon in the parking lot.

Hit and run-Mt Rose Ave at I-83

At 2213 hours an Officer responded to Mt Rose Ave near I-83 for the report of a pick up truck that went down over an embankment near this intersection.  A subject was seen exiting the truck and leaving the area but he was not located.  Investigation to continue.
