Shooting Suspect Arrested

On June 18, 2022, at approximately 0144 hours, members of the Springettsbury Township Police Department were dispatched to Banana Max, located at 2650 Eastern Boulevard, for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, a male victim was found to have been shot multiple times and was transported to York Hospital for treatment of his injuries.  Through investigation, the suspect was identified as 34 year-old Jorge Soba-Torres of York City.  A warrant charging Soba-Torres with Criminal Attempt Homicide and Aggravated Assault was obtained on June 18, 2022.  On July 18, 2022, the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force apprehended Soba-Torres.  Soba-Torres was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Laura Manifold and committed to York County Prison with no option for bail.
